On September 26, Amnesty Group Nine attended the Gidinawendamin/Ska’nikú•lát 23rd Annual Pow Wow at the University of Waterloo!
Volunteers helped collect signatures for a number of actions. These included letters to ensure safe drinking water on-reserve and to speed the passage of Bill S-2, as well as petitions to protect land defenders in Colombia and to invest in better wildfire prevention in Ontario and BC.
Thank you to all of the volunteers who made this event possible, and to everyone who signed our petitions! In total, 163 actions were taken, including 80 signed letters.
